How to reach Nagarkot from Kathmandu
Nagarkot is the great place of retreat but it has remained under shadow as not many know how to reach Nagarkot from Kathmandu.
Nagarkot is located to the northeast of Kathmandu and the distance between Kathmandu and Nagarkot is 32km. Araniko Highway links Nagarkot with Kathmandu.
There are several ways to go to Nagarkot. Some of the popular ways in which Nagarkot can be reached are:
Bus from Kathmandu to Nagarkot/Local Bus from Kathmandu to Nagarkot
Taking Kathmandu to Nagarkot by local bus is the cheapest way to reach Nagarkot. Public bus to Nagarkot can be taken from Bhaktapur Bus Stop in Kathmandu which is located to the east of Ratna Park. It costs ticket price of NPR 25 to reach Kamalbinayak of Bhaktapur. Kamalbinayak can be reached in about 50minutes by following Araniko Highway. Bus stop to Nagarkot is located at the edge of Kamalbinayak Pokhari. Another one and half hour of ride from Kamal Binayak Pokhari will take you to Nagarkot for the price of NPR 45.
Direct Tourist Bus Kathmandu to Nagarkot
Direct Tourist Bus to Nagarkot leaves every day from Tourist Bus Park in Kathmandu and Bhaktapur. Cost for Tourist bus from Nagarkot to Kathmandu is around NPR 400 per person. We can book ticket for tourist bus to Nagarkot.
